Holy Trinity Parents Morning Cuppa  Please join us on Thursday March 1st after drop off to have a cuppa and a chat. Non-school going children welcome. We will be there from 8.50am till 11am with the kettle on and the biscuits ready – or if you feel like sharing your baking skills, you’ll find some appreciative friends! PA Committee and Groups – Update

Here is a brief update of the activities of some of the groups.

˜  Baby & Toddler Group
The Baby & Toddler Group is open every Wednesday morning, from 10:00 am to 12 noon.   A rota is being put in place for helpers to help with the tea/coffee/greeting of parents – if you are free on a Wednesday morning then let Patricia know or call into the group where your help would be greatly appreciated.

˜  Uniform Shop

The next uniform shop will be on Thursday 1st of March @1.30 -2.45pm in the school. If you have any uniforms to donate you can also leave them with me on the day or swap them for a different item we have in our shop? If you have any queries please contact Tara Brophy on 086 6007327.

Prices are as follows: V neck jumpers from €2 / Pinafores from €2 / Skirts from €3 / Trousers from €2 / Tracksuit Bottoms from €5 and Tops from €5.

˜  Fruit Friday
Many thanks to those of you who continue to support Fruit  Friday – this is a gentle reminder to please bring in a piece of fruit on Fridays, as our fruit basket has been a bit light lately – this is a great treat for the kids & our volunteers  can handle whatever you pass our way – pineapples, raisins, carrots, etc. We meet each Friday morning from 8:50am in the Teachers Staff Room/Kitchen.  If you volunteered to help with Fruit Friday, drop in and say hello on Friday.

˜  Film Club
The January Film Club raised €147 – thanks to all who helped!  Film Club, which is run each month continues to be a favourite with the children as well as being a great fund raiser for the school. Going forward the Class Reps will take it in turn to run film club. The continued success of film club is dependent on parental supervision. So when it’s your class reps turn to host film club, please offer your support and come along.

˜  Fundraising

There will be an Easter Raffle this year with some great prizes – watch out for some notices on this.

˜  School Book Fair

The book fair is starting next week. The people from Scholastic Books will have their mobile stalls in Holy Trinity for the week. If you can volunteer to help out at this event then please contact Caroline Aylward.

The next PA meeting takes place on Monday, March 5th in Holy Trinity at 8:30pm.

µ  Arts Week

Many thanks to all who helped out and made our Arts Week such a huge success. Highlights from the week can be viewed on the school website www.holytrinity.ie .

µ  Food Dudes

The food dudes programme is being launched in Holy Trinity on Monday March 5^th, for 3 weeks. A portion of Fruit and Veg will be delivered to the school daily for each student. The children can earn rewards by tasting and finishing their portion, this is a fantastic opportunity to complement both our ongoing Fruit Friday and the school emphasis on healthy eating. Many thanks in advanced to Ms. Galvin and the 5^th class students for co-ordinating this event.
